Plasmid pKT1

Description:

Plasmid pKT1 is a pUC-derived plasmid, containing sequences from Thermus thermophilus. It is a shuttle vector with a kat cassette under the control of a bifunctional promoter.

This vector allows the transfer of genes between E. coli (or related proteobacterias) and T. thermophilus (e.g. for thermostabilisation projects), and it contains a kat cassette for thermostable-kanamycine selections.
