October 21^st – Biotools B&M Labs, S.A, has recently associated as a beacon company to Parque Científico de Madrid

Biotools B&M Labs, S.A. is a biotech company founded in 1996, focused on research, development and manufacture of recombinant enzymes and other molecular biology tools, as well as on the development of new technologies for molecular diagnostics and biomedical research. Biotools offers integral, fast, simple, robust and automatable diagnostic solutions, cost attractive to customers. These solutions are based on proprietary internationally patented technologies and on Biotools enzymes and reagents.

Parque Científico de Madrid, support R+D institution promoted by the Universidad Complutense de Madrid (UCM) and the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM), gets full support both from public and private organizations: CSIC, CIEMAT, Banking Group Santander, Madrid Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Madrid Regional Government and Madrid City Council. Actually it has 125 associated companies, where 39 are from the Biotech sector.

Biotools President &CEO, Pedro M. Franco de Sarabia said, “Biotools incorporation to Parque Científico de Madrid as a beacon company, allows novel companies to have a close reference to consolidate its activities, and also to promote synergies that facilitate the creation of new cooperation projects between the agents involved in R&D&i. On the other hand, allows Biotools to benefit from a set of value added services offered by the PCM”

Antonio R. Díaz, Parque Científico de Madrid Director, indicated that Biotools incorporation, favors the consolidation of a booming sector which has also a main representation in the Parque Científico de Madrid. “Biotools has a clear successful trajectory in the Spanish biotech sector, favoring the framework where novel companies use to follow”. On the other hand, the possibility to have in the Bioincubator both consolidated and new biotech companies, allow adequate bases to create new collaborations.
