December 8th – DIAPRO Licenses BIOTOOLS Lionprobes®
Biotools B&M Labs, S.A. has licensed its Lionpobes® to DIAPRO as a new system for the detection of nucleic acids on real-time DNA amplification platforms using fluorescent labeled probes with application in medical diagnostic/prognosis.
DIA.PRO Diagnostic Bioprobes S.r.l. is a private company founded in 1996 in Milano, Italy, after 20 years experience in the field of Immuno Diagnostics (RIA, EIA, ELISA) for infectious diseases.
Biotools B&M Lab, S.A. is an European biotech company, which focuses its activities in the diagnostic and human prognosis of infectious and metabolic diseases through innovative quality solutions.
Biotools Lionpobes® patented technology, is an independent procedure from the conventional real time probes, consisting in a fast, versatile and accurate detection of target DNA/RNA squences with high specificity due to the use of a proofreading polymerase and with applicability to any molecular biology assay.
Diapro expects that the Lionprobes® will assist them in developing new Kits involving nucleic acid amplification, as Diagnostic Kits, offering an innovative fluorescent system for detecting, quantifying, and analysis specific nucleic acid sequences.
This agreement has been signed by both Biotools and CSL Behring as licensors, and Dia Pro as licensee.
