Description:

The Deafness Gene Mutation Detection Array kit has been designed for the rapid, high throughput screening of known hotspot mutations related to hereditary hearing loss.

More than 50% of deafness has a hereditary origin. Many genes are known to cause hereditary hearing loss or deafness. Moreover, antibiotics can trigger these diseases (certain types of antibiotics are known to cause deafness in children carrying certain gene mutations).

The Deafness Gene Mutation Detection Array kit simultaneously detects ten known mutations in four genes (GJB2, GJB3, SLC26A4 and 12S rRNA).
