ProteoGene Spotting Buffer

Description:

The ProteoGene DNA Spotting Buffer is a printing solution which has been optimised for spotting DNA and oligonucleotides (with and without modifications) on microarray systems. This spotting solution is an advanced buffer designed for improving the quality and stability of the printed samples. The buffer contains a mixture of components that act as viscosity enhancers to increase the sample’s surface tension and minimise evaporation.

The ProteoGene DNA Spotting Buffer has been specially designed for spotting oligonucleotides and cDNA on amino slides, and for spotting modified oligonucleotides on Epoxy slides.
This product achieves:

• Reduced spot size
• Improved spot morphology
• Improved deposition precision and uniformity
• Increased spot hybridization signal
• Great stability of spotted DNA samples for prolonged storage

Figure: An 18-mer oligonucleotide (10 mM) spotted on amino slides of CapitalBio using different spotting solutions. The array was hybridized with complementary Cy5-labeled oligonucleotides and scanned using the LuxScan of CapitalBio (cat N° 68.202). 

From this figure we observe that the ProteoGene DNA spotting buffer produced spots of good morphology and uniformity, with an appropriate spot diameter and comparable hybridization signal intensity.
